Why a week of action?

Wet’suwet’en people are being removed at gunpoint from their land, while major banks like RBC and Chase and private equity giant KKR are bankrolling the Coastal GasLink pipeline at the centre of the militarized raids. These corporate giants have ignored countless requests to meet with communities impacted by the fossil fuel projects that the company is funding. We are calling on them to Defund Coastal GasLink.

CGL’s partners and financiers must be made to feel the pressure. Everywhere they have branches, we want people to rally, flyer, and educate their neighbours on what these organizations are funding. We want their names associated with the pictures of the raids, and their leadership warned that they can have their reputation or they can have their pipelines.
